  5. Hi Brother Jeff! I feel like you were talking right to me about the smoking. I’ve smoked off and on 31 years. I hate it and I want to quit so bad and I always end up caving in, especially recently. I’ve tried all the regular ways to quit (patch, gum, cold turkey, etc). I’ve cried, prayed, pleaded etc for help giving it up and always end up lighting up again. Its really breaking my heart and always on my mind. I love the Lord more than anything and knowing I am sinning just kills me. Could you pray for me please? thank you soooo much!!!

  6. I can confirm your plea for smoker’s to seek His help quitting; He will set you free.
Back in 1980 I was smoking 2 1/2 packs a day; chainsmoking at work, but not at home.
After listening to my dear father in the Lord at that time talk … I realized I just did not want to smoke anymore, and I quit cold turkey. NO WITHDRAWAL. Not one bit. But I did cough for months 😀
This dear saint used to counsel serious drug addicts … heroin and cocaine addicts … and once His truth touched their souls, they quit … COLD TURKEY, with no withdrawal, ever.
He taught me … and I personally found it to be true, that withdrawal is the evidence that a person, in their heart of hearts, really enjoys smoking … or drugs … and does not want to quit.
When you really want to stop , ask Him for His grace. He is so faithful, and it will be as easy as throwing your pack(s) in the trash and walking away.
    God bless!
