This is the True Meaning of Yom Kippur!

My son write, for I have a message for those who have eyes to see and ears to hear. On this day that is called Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, there is supposed to be repentance, fasting and everyone’s focus is supposed to be turned toward Me. But this is what I see, a religious abomination for most who celebrate this day. Yes, outwardly you fast, you take the day off from work, you don’t buy or sell , you may even don sackcloth and ashes and shave your head but what is going on in your heart? All of these things can be seen by men but if that’s all that it is, it is of no use to Me. All these things that I have mentioned are good ONLY IF they are coupled with a turning from the things of this world and a seeking after Me. That is the very definition of repentance! I don’t want your empty words, your dead ceremonies or your promises that you make only to break because they are not made from your heart. I WANT YOU!

What I really desire from you is that you sit down and pour your heart out before Me and tell Me your deepest desires, concerns and fears. I want to be your deepest desire, I want to help you with your concerns, even the ones you have about this world and I want to take your fears and turn them into faith, hope and love in Me and for Me. I WANT YOU TO KNOW ME!

How can this be? you ask. How can I truly make knowing Jesus, Yahshua My number one biggest ambition of My life? you ask. I will tell you because you truly are My heart’s desire. “Unless a person is born again (anew, from above), he cannot ever see (know, be acquainted with, and experience) the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3) I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, unless a man is born of water and [even] the Spirit, he cannot [ever] enter the kingdom of God. What is born of [from] the flesh is flesh [of the physical is physical]; and what is born of the Spirit is spirit.” (John 3:5-6) It was necessary that I be lifted up on the cross, like the brass serpent, In order that everyone who believes in Me, which actually means, those who cleave, trust, and rely on Me, may not perish, but have eternal life and actually live forever! (John 3:14b-15) This eternal life begins the very instance that you are reborn of the Spirit. Though you are not yet what you will be, My seed will be placed inside of you, the very deposit of My promise, My Holy Spirit will live inside of you. He will never leave you or forsake you, unless you tell Him to leave. He will abide with you and teach you the truth always if you remain with Him and do not continue to sin willfully and habitually. For everyone who is born of the Spirit of the living God does not remain in continuous unrepented of sin. If you make a mistake and sin I am your advocate with the Father if you confess it and turn from it, I am faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and cleanse you from all unrighteousness. (For more read 1 John chapters 1-3) No one, except I, has ever kept and fulfilled all of the law. But My children that walk by My Spirit, walk in the fulfillment of the law. The law showed man that he was dead in his trespasses. No one has ever fulfilled the law in their flesh, it is impossible! But all things are possible with Me by the Spirit! Did I not say “If you love Me you will keep My Commandments?”It can only be done by the Holy Spirit that lives within all those who are born again of that same Spirit that raised Me from the dead. None of the commandments can be truly fulfilled without love that comes from My Holy Spirit that dwells within those who are Mine. (For more read Romans 8 and Galatians 5)

Read what Paul wrote while under the influence of the Holy Spirit. Romans 12:1-2(AMPC) “I appeal to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world (this age), [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].” Your minds cannot be renewed except by My Spirit. You must put to death the ways of this world so that I can give you life and life more abundantly.

So on this day Yom Kippur, the day of atonement, I say to you repent of your sins and seek Me like you have never sought Me before, with ALL of your heart. When you do this you will know that I hear you because My Spirit will bear witness with your spirit and you will not doubt that you hear Me and that I hear you. I do not desire that you only come to Me in this way today but everyday! For this is why I allowed My blood to be shed, not only to pay for your sins, but also so that we could fellowship with one another and so that we could be one, just as I am one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. If you are one with Us you have everything that you need and you will fulfill the law. As this, the time of the end, draws to a close you must be in close intimate fellowship with Me every day! Let this be the day that you decide to go deeper in Me than ever before. There is no limit to how close to Me you can be with Me and soon there will be no limit to how much of My Spirit you can have. I Want You To Shine for Me in the Darkness! It is written and it shall come to pass.

  1. Maureen: Something that has helped me greatly is to read the Bible through -cover to cover- in one year. I am using The One Year Chronological Bible by Tyndale House Publishers of Carol Stream, IL. I plan to start again in Jan. This will be the fourth time, done in even years. The Lord greatly blesses me anew each time I commit to do this. I invite you to join me in 2020. Now each time I open the Bible to read, I ask the Lord to speak to from His word and He often does.. Blessings to you from the Prince of Peace.
And thank you Jeff for bringing messages from Yeshua.

  2. It was a blessing to read this, brother, and a confirmation! I didn’t know about Yom Kippur, but God definitely has changed my desires!

The confirmation came because I received a message from a friend yesterday who had been hurt by others. I led her to 1 Sam 1 and told her about Hannah pouring out her heart like water. I told her that is what the Lord has taught me to do. As I later turned to the passage I led her to, I had never noticed before the connection to Acts where Eli thought she was drunk because she was praying silently and moving her lips.(related to your earlier post)

The beginning of today’s message sounds just like that, pouring out everything in your heart, good, bad, and ugly. Hallelujah! Looking out my window this morning and seeing the sunrise all I could think was that song’ Just give Me Jesus’. He is All. Blessings!

  3. I have read much of the Bible over & over again, but want to have a deeper, closer relationship with our Lord & savior. Could you or others please give me suggestions for what I could read. Thank you in advance for any replies & I hope God will find new ways to bless you & all your loved ones. Your sister in Christ, Maureen

    1. Hi Maureen,

I keep feeling led to reply to you. Not long ago when I read people’s posts on this sight, I felt discouraged with my own seemingly lack of progress in my relationship with the Lord. That feeling is lifting, and I will give you some things the Lord has shown me.

First, if you have some extended free time coming up, dedicate it to the Lord. Fast, pray, read scripture. Listen to worship music and sing to Him. Thank Him for everything you can think of. Sit before Him and practice being still. Practice this throughout the day at other times, like really listening to what people say and watching birds, noticing flowers.

Next, be completely honest with Him. For example, ‘I am dedicating this time, but I confess I have a strong desire to just go watch t.v.’ or ‘ my mind is consumed with this family squabble ‘ or whatever. I watched David Wilkerson ‘s A Call to Anguish sermon. He says go before God and confess your dryness, if that is what you feel. Honesty is how you grow closer to others and to God.

Third, I keep being reminded to ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking. I am learning to be patient with myself. The Lord reminded me of something about this. I got up early this morning to pray, but because of meds I was prescribed, I was too drowsy to be alert. Recently we lost a calf who wandered over to a nearby uncle a red property. We looked and kept on looking, even though we could not search continuously due to other responsibilities and the extreme heat. But we searched whenever we could until we found her. I got another analogy, too. If three young married men set their hearts on truly being great husbands, they would succeed eventually, provided they did not quit trying. Because of different personalities, experiences, and knowledge, however, their goals would be achieved at different times. Our finding Him and His gifts is guaranteed by His Word regardless of our personal situations and limitations as long as we keep seeking!! In other words, it depends on Him not us, unless we quit.

As for reading, I have listened online (and have some books) to David Wilkerson, Paul Washer and Derek Prince.

I hope this helps. My prayer partner and I have prayed specifically for all those in prayer closets who are seeking the Lord.

      Blessings!

  4. Brother Jeff,

Thank so much this word from Our Blessed Father Of love. This year I did not fast. I was looking into the precise teaching of it and it means to submit and afflict fast the soul. By the leading of the Lord I took my 13 year old son and my one year old to have pizza he had been wanting to eat at this place for a while. I have been struggling with him because of an argument I had with my wife she does not believe as I do or is committed to the Lord. We had a seriously bad day felt everything was coming down on me that day and things were said that I should no better my anger unleashed. I repented but damage was done. To cut short as the waitress brought our drinks she waited till I finished praying. I was lead by the Lord to bless her for respecting us as we prayed. After teaching my son about the day of atonement we ate and when we were done. I approached her and told her thank you for your patience and respect as we were praying. I briefly explained to her about how today was the day of atonement and Jesus Our Lord. She received the message and the Lord blessed her monetarily and spiritually by the leading of the Lord I told her God Is going to bless her. Praise God Almighty for the opportunity. I share this with my family of Christ so that we may be ready at all times by the Lords leading to preach the gospel of Christ. Sorry this is long. Peace of Christ. ✝️☁️🔥👑

  5. What beautiful Words Of our Lord Yashua explaining Meani g of Yum KIppur. How He longed for us, as much as we do to Him. Thank you Jeff for well written Message.

    1. I, too MS. B, went before the Lord last night, just to rest before Him. I began thinking of the sins of our nation and people, and began repenting in the Spirit. As I started to cry He reminded me the Day of Atonement had just begun. He is so good! I had intended to fast and pray this day but hadn’t realized it when it came…but He is faithful!

  6. Last night, I prayed all of these things that The Lord asks. Unfortunately I wasn’t mindful that it was Yom Kippur? Meaning.. I believe I had forgotten that fact. I was open (as usual) but said these exact words to The Father in prayer, not realizing?! I thank you for posting this. I am on track w/The Father & He has heard my supplication. I told Him that I presented my body to Him as my reasonable sacrifice. I felt led to say these exact words, and more that you have written here! Praise God. I love Him so very very much. Thank you for this post Brother.

  7. Just what I needed. I truly desire to go deeper with God, to be a light on the darkness. I just found a video from a might woman in the Lord. Her name is Vesta Mangan. The title of the video is weeper or warrior. I thought I was depressed, now I know I’m not, I’m a weeper for the Lord, but I desire to be a warrior for Him

  8. God Bless You my dear Brother for this blessed message you delivered from our Lord ! May his mighty protection be all around you and yours every single day!!! Amen

PLEASE COMMENT I LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU! - Jeff Byerly
